| Not a lot has been happening but a lot has happened in the last 11 months
WOW- that long? Yes, indeed.
Everyone is a year older- son is now 15, daughter is now 17 and a half (not allowed to forget the half- you know the ways of teens) Daughter has Learner Drivers License- yahoo and tear your hair out time Son has deeper voice, is taller than Mother and nearly as tall as Father- time to check on those boundaries Dog ate rat poison and nearly died- vet loves us now for supporting him towards either a world trip or financial independence (yes Dog is doing ok now) Cat moved in with us- something to do with needing rehoming because her family were moving overseas, how inconsiderate (her apparent opinion at the time) Chickens have been busy breeding- three mini flocks- 8, 5 and 7 chicks in various sizes Some chickens have been leaving home for a life of adventure in the wilds of Pohuehue Viaduct or Maungatepere Father is trying to keep busy building and suchlike for others who wish to bestow monies upon us He has also been busy setting up a Charitable Trust for the purchase of a largish (or smallish- depending on your perspective) sailing vessel for Youth Life Adventures and helping in the South West Pacific
Me?
Not much
Just feeding everyone Cleaning house (not very successfully) Grocery shopping Reminding everyone what their chores are
Oh, and building a website for Father and his team You have my permission to view it here: Mission Adventure Trust
I suppose you'll be demanding photographs now

| De javu anyone?
Ok so this is twice in the first six months of the year.... you lucky, lucky people!
The expanded chores roster is good- when people are at home to do it.... ever noticed that when someone is away you get to do their jobs? So when three are away and hubby comes home from 5 days working on-site, saying "don't you do anything around here when I'm away" it isn't so unusual to get in a grump
Unfortunately that means I get more housework done, including other-peoples-jobs.
Hmmmmm, I think I might make myself a Martyrs Medal.
The weather seems to have finally turned into autumn.
No it doesn't conjure up images of brightly coloured autumn leaves, still mornings, frosts and mist or fog.... here it means heavy rain, strong wind, sometimes very cold, sometimes sweltering heat- welcome to the sub-sub-tropics
I'm definitely not enjoying this time of life- hormonal depressions and biting people's heads off.

| Yes, Jevvv is still in the land of the living
No, the bottom half of the world hasn't disappeared
Ye, this feels like de javu
ok: two extra bodies residing in this house- international students from the local high school boarding with us, means extra groceries, extra cooking, extra washing etc. Thankfully the chores list has expanded to take up a wee bit of the slack.
STILL building the house.
Finally finished with Christmas, Summer Holidays etc here for the year, school has resumed and life seems to be heading back to normal on the guage.
We had a fantastic time away on the yacht for three and a half weeks... time on the yacht is kinda glorified camping: you don't have to put up a tent, but you do use a camp cooker, and there isn't much privacy when you have 4 people living in 32 feet of space.
Oldest own-child spent 6 weeks away from home with Teen Missions: training in Auz for 10 days, 4 weeks helping out with lots of practical stuff in Vanuatu (go look it up in your atlas: start in the South Pacific, the western half) then a few days debrief back in Auz before coming home.
She seems more mature than before, and is very practical- yay. Unfortunately she's now feeling like she has no friends, best friend from down the road is being very fair and being friends with other people too.
*sigh* oh the joys of being 16 years old!!!
... 'twill do for now dear readers.
